Terms of Service
Last updated: December 31, 2025
Welcome to Hands Up Volunteer
Thanks for using our platform. These terms are pretty straightforward—we want to be clear about what you can expect from us and what we expect from you.
What We Provide
We provide a volunteer management platform to help you organize events, coordinate volunteers, and manage your organization's activities. You get what you see—the features and functionality available in the application.
We work hard to keep the service running smoothly, but like any software, we may encounter issues from time to time. When problems arise, we'll work to resolve them as quickly and efficiently as we can.
Your Account
To use our service, you'll need to:
- Create an account with accurate information
- Keep your login credentials secure
- Be responsible for all activity under your account
- Notify us if you believe your account has been compromised
Using the Service Responsibly
We ask that you:
- Use the platform for its intended purpose—managing volunteers and events
- Don't try to hack, disrupt, or abuse the service
- Don't upload malicious content or spam
- Respect the privacy and data of your volunteers and organization members
- Comply with applicable laws when using our service
- Do not use our communication tools for marketing purposes. Our email and messaging features are strictly for transactional communications related to volunteer shifts, event coordination, and organizational activities. Marketing emails, promotional content, and commercial solicitations are prohibited.
Your Data
The information you put into Hands Up Volunteer belongs to you. You can:
- View, edit, and manage your data through your account
- Delete organizations and associated data directly in the application
- Request complete account deletion by contacting us
We use your data only to provide and improve our service, as described in our Privacy Policy.
Payment Terms
If you subscribe to a paid plan:
- Payments are processed securely through Stripe
- You can manage your subscription through the Stripe Customer Portal
- We'll do our best to notify you before any price changes
- Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis—just reach out to us
Service Availability
We strive to keep the service available 24/7, but we can't guarantee 100% uptime. We may need to perform maintenance, apply updates, or address technical issues. We'll try to give you advance notice when possible, but sometimes urgent fixes are necessary.
Changes to the Service
We're constantly improving Pawpaw Analytics. This means we may add new features, modify existing ones, or occasionally remove features that aren't working out. We'll communicate significant changes when they affect how you use the service.
Limitation of Liability
We provide this service "as is." While we work hard to make it reliable and useful, we can't guarantee it will always be perfect or meet every need. We're not liable for any indirect damages, lost profits, or data loss that might result from using (or not being able to use) our service.
If something goes wrong, we'll work with you to make it right, but our liability is limited to the amount you've paid us in the past 12 months.
Termination
You can stop using our service at any time by deleting your organizations and data, or by contacting us to close your account.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or engage in abusive behavior, but we'll try to work with you first to resolve any issues.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. If we make significant changes, we'll notify you by email or through the application. Continuing to use the service after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
Questions or Problems?
If you have questions about these terms, run into problems, or just want to chat, please contact us.
We're a small team and we actually read every message. We'll do our best to help you out.
The Legal Stuff
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio, United States. If we can't resolve a dispute through conversation, we'll work it out through binding arbitration rather than going to court.
